DENY VISIBILITY CONCEPT

This concept comes from a conversation with a good friend of mine. We were exploring ways to mess with player's mind ( psychological horror ), and how to obscure information so that players cannot fully comprehend the threat.
There were many intricate details that went into the conversation, but I reimagine it in the simplest way possible.
When player is directly looking at the entity, it turns invisible.
When player look away from the entity, it is visible.
Only material refraction is used
Initial test, only refraction change on the character.
It is subtle enough, so I to test it in a darker environment.
