PEEKING THROUGH THE DOOR

In this prototype, I want to gauge the feel for peeking through the door, with added glitch effect.


In this set up, player's vision is limited to a partially open door. This is a common set up in games to lure player's attention before surprising them with a jump scare. It is also commonly used in films. Given that most players are very familiar with this set up, we can turn it into an opportunity for subverting expectations.


I learnt to do the glitch effect from Enrique Ventura's tutorial.
