CAMERA FLASH AND SILHOUETTE

I really like the interplay between camera flash and silhouette from Pengabdi Setan 2.

The sound effect for the camera in Pengabdi Setan 2 is unique. It is a combination of practical camera shutter sound followed with an elongated eerie sound.

Utilizing the aesthetic of camera flash is not a new concept. In the film Saw ( 2004 ), Adam used the camera flash to find the intruder. Tun from Shutter ( 2004 ) used his polaroid to locate the ghost. There is also a camera feature in Phasmophobia for players to take picture of the ghost as evidence.
